Men's Health Center

The Men's Health Center is a unit that evaluates men's hormonal balance, reproductive and sexual health, and prostate health under one roof with a multidisciplinary approach. It provides diagnostic and treatment services in urological and andrological (male reproductive and sexual health) areas that affect men's quality of life.

Why a Separate Center?

The reason for having a multidisciplinary center is to evaluate different areas of men's health together under one roof, rather than spreading them across separate departments.

There is a common situation in clinical practice: men often hesitate and delay seeking medical help for health issues. This delay can be even greater, especially when it comes to sexual health, reproductive health, or prostate health. One of the main goals of the Men's Health Center is to ensure that men receive timely diagnosis and treatment in a safe environment for these issues.

A complaint in one area does not always remain limited to that area. Erectile dysfunction is the best-known example: men with erectile dysfunction have been found to have approximately 1.4 times higher risk of cardiovascular events compared to those without erectile dysfunction (Vlachopoulos et al., Circ Cardiovasc Qual Outcomes, 2013). A complaint regarding sexual function can sometimes be the first sign of a broader picture related to vascular health.

In Which Areas Do We Provide Services?

The services we provide at our center are grouped under seven main headings. These are not a list of diseases but parts of overall health:

  • Hormonal balance — evaluation of male hormones and treatment when necessary.
  • Reproductive health — evaluation and treatments for having children (infertility, varicocele, micro-TESE).
  • Sexual health — diagnosis and treatment for erectile dysfunction.
  • Premature ejaculation — diagnosis and treatment.
  • Penile curvature — evaluation for Peyronie's disease and penile curvature.
  • Genital aesthetics — penile thickening (with hyaluronic acid), glans augmentation.
  • Prostate health — benign enlargement, prostate cancer.

Our aim is to focus on health, not just disease. We approach each topic not only to correct deficiencies but also to preserve what is healthy.

Who Is It For?

The Men's Health Center caters to men of all ages, starting from young adulthood. In younger ages, issues such as fertility, varicocele, genital aesthetics, premature ejaculation, and erectile dysfunction are addressed. In middle age, erectile dysfunction, hormonal imbalances, premature ejaculation, and diseases causing penile curvature like Peyronie's are investigated. In middle to advanced ages, prostate health and urinary problems are added. Erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation are not only problems of middle age; both can occur in young men and require evaluation. The regular follow-up, diagnosis, and treatment of all these issues fall within the scope of the Men's Health Center.

Our Approach

Two principles define the center's approach. First, every evaluation and treatment choice is made in light of current scientific data. Second, the service is personalized: each patient is evaluated according to their own situation, because the same complaint may not mean the same thing in two different people. Our responsibility is to make the correct diagnosis and to determine appropriate treatment options together with the patient.
