A Neurodevelopmental Assessment Center Meeting Was Held at Our Hospital
Our Neurodevelopmental Assessment Center is set to begin providing services at our hospital. A comprehensive evaluation meeting was held regarding the center’s operations. The meeting was attended by our Medical Director Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yaman, our Chief Physician Dr. Abdullah Sert, Prof. Dr. Zeynep Ocak, Prof. Dr. Emel Torun, Dr. Ece Gültekin, Specialist Dr. Umut Balatacı, our Deputy General Manager Eser Şahin Foto, and hospital administrators.

During the meeting, the center’s operational model, its multidisciplinary structure, and plans to improve the efficiency of patient management processes were discussed. In particular, the early identification of developmental processes in children aged 0 to 12, along with strengthening rapid diagnosis and accurate referral processes, were among the main priorities.
A Holistic Diagnostic Model Was Evaluated
The meeting included a detailed evaluation of the center’s holistic diagnostic model, which integrates therapy, clinical, and education focused approaches. It was emphasized that the simultaneous collaboration of different disciplines such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Pediatric Neurology, Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy accelerates the diagnostic process and improves its accuracy.
In addition, evaluation processes for children with suspected attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, learning difficulties, speech disorders, and developmental delay were discussed.
Early Diagnosis and Rapid Reporting Processes Were Addressed
The meeting also reviewed the process of reporting data obtained from scientific tests and clinical evaluations conducted at the center in a short time and presenting it to families in a clear and understandable manner. It was noted that completing evaluation processes tailored to the individual needs of children as quickly as possible provides a significant advantage in terms of family satisfaction and treatment planning.

The Strength of the Multidisciplinary Approach Was Emphasized
In the assessments made by the management team, it was highlighted that neurodevelopmental processes cannot be addressed through a single discipline alone, and that the multidisciplinary structure is one of the center’s strongest aspects. This approach enables a comprehensive analysis of children’s cognitive, behavioral, neurological, and communication development.
The meeting concluded with the sharing of suggestions aimed at improving service quality and the establishment of a roadmap for the future.
