Raising Awareness About Headaches on World Brain Day
As part of World Brain Day on July 22, physicians from our Headache Center met with visitors in the hospital lobby to raise awareness about brain health. Throughout the event, they shared valuable information on protecting brain health and answered participants' questions, offering expert guidance on a wide range of topics.

During the event, our Neurology specialists, Assoc. Prof. Musa Öztürk, Assoc. Prof. Demet Aygün Üstel, and Specialist Dr. Tural Talıbov, informed participants about protecting brain health, the different types of headaches, and the warning signs that should not be ignored.
Our specialists emphasized that not all headaches have the same underlying cause and explained that the duration, frequency, severity, and accompanying symptoms of a headache are all important factors in making an accurate diagnosis. They also highlighted the importance of seeking medical attention for headaches that begin suddenly, progressively worsen, occur frequently, or interfere with daily life.
Throughout the program, participants' questions were answered, and recommendations were shared on the importance of regular sleep, adequate hydration, a balanced diet, physical activity, and stress management in maintaining brain health.
With this event held as part of World Brain Day, we aimed to raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases while promoting accurate information and greater public awareness about headaches.
