RUAn Effective Communication Seminar by Prof. Dr. Tarif Bakdash
Tarif Bakdash, Head of the Pediatric Neurology Department at the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute and also Director of the English Medical Faculty at Biruni University as well as Advisor to the Rector, met with healthcare professionals at the seminar titled “How to Establish the Best Communication with Your Patients?” held as part of the 153rd Scientific Meeting organized by the hospital.
During the program, Prof. Dr. Tarif Bakdash evaluated topics such as patient physician communication, an empathy based approach, appropriate communication language, and the role of trust in healthcare services, emphasizing the importance of effective communication in patient satisfaction and the treatment process.
Hospital administrators, physicians, and healthcare professionals attended the seminar. Highlighting that not only correct treatment but also effective communication is an essential part of the healing process, Bakdash stated that strong communication with patients and their relatives enhances the quality of healthcare services.
Prof. Dr. Tarif Bakdash also noted that developing communication skills is as important as professional knowledge for physicians, and at the end of the seminar, he answered participants’ questions.
