The 3rd International Penile Reconstructive Surgery Course Was Held at Our Hospital

The 3rd International Penile Reconstructive Surgery Course, organized by Biruni University Faculty of Medicine faculty members Prof. Dr. Barış Nuhoğlu, Prof. Dr. Ege Can Şerefoğlu, Prof. Dr. Marco Falcone, and Nişantaşı University faculty member Op. Dr. Yaşar Başağa, brought together expert physicians from different countries around the world in Istanbul.

Within the scope of the course, where current developments in penile reconstructive surgery were discussed, participants had the opportunity to receive advanced training through scientific sessions, live surgical broadcasts, and interactive case discussions.

Experts from Around the World Came Together

At the international-level event, specialists working in reconstructive urology and andrology shared their knowledge and experience while evaluating current surgical approaches. Throughout the scientific program, new trends in reconstructive urology, surgical techniques, and patient management strategies were addressed.

One of the most notable parts of the course was the live surgical broadcasts. Operations performed by expert surgeons were transmitted simultaneously to participants.

While surgical planning processes, operative techniques, complication management, and reconstruction strategies were discussed in detail, participants also had the chance to interact directly with experts and ask their questions.

Complex Cases Evaluated with a Multidisciplinary Approach

Within the scientific program, four complex reconstructive cases were evaluated from a multidisciplinary perspective. Physicians from different specialties came together during case discussions to assess diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical decision-making processes.

These sessions provided participants with comprehensive insights into current treatment approaches that can be applied in challenging cases.
