Time to Raise Awareness Against Obesity
Obesity has become a major public health concern today, both in terms of individual well-being and overall community health. In this context, an awareness event was held in our hospital’s pediatric lobby on March 4, World Obesity Day.

As part of the event, participants’ Body Mass Index (BMI) measurements were conducted, and information was provided regarding obesity risk. Based on the measurement results, individuals identified as being in the risk group were referred to our General Surgery clinic for further evaluation and necessary treatment planning.
Early detection of obesity and its management through a multidisciplinary approach are of great importance both for improving individual health outcomes and for protecting public health. As an institution, we continue our awareness efforts aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle.
